The first South Molton Struggle, organised by the South Molton Strugglers, was held in October 2009.
Between 2009 and 2017 the race HQ was at the South Molton Rugby Club and the route was multi-terrain using Gunswell Lane and some private land around Hill Village.
In 2018 and 2019 we decided not to hold the event as one of the footpaths we used was closed due to a new housing development. Then Covid took out 2020 and 2021 :-(
From 2022 we have a new route and a new chapter begins for the Struggle.
