Chase The Elf

A festive fun run on the Tarka Trail from Bideford to Barnstaple Football Club

Take part in this brand new event and get yourself into the Christmas spirit. Join hundreds of local runners and set off along the Tarka Trail in pursuit of our elusive Elf. For everyone who passes our playful pace-setter to the finish line, there will be a prize awaiting you, not to mention important bragging rights (our Elf doesn’t like to lose!) As well as the 10-mile ‘Chase The Elf’ race, there is a shorter ‘Tinsel Run’ on the day, which will involve a 3k route around town starting and finishing at Barnstaple Football Club. Fancy dress is optional, but we’d love to see you bring your own bit of Christmas sparkle to the event! All proceeds from the day will go to North Devon Hospice, helping to provide care for local people affected by cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. Raising sponsorship for taking part in this event is very much encouraged. As it is the hospice’s 30th anniversary, could you raise £30 to help us care for local people who will really us this Christmas? The event is being staged with the help of Bideford Blues Running Club, North Devon Road Runners, Barnstaple Football Club and The Voice radio. The Tinsel Run is open to those of all ages, although anyone under 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Registration fee for those over 16 is £10 (£15 on the day), for those aged 5-15 it’s £5 (£10 on the day), and for under 5’s it’s free!
