This year will be the 9th running of the 7.8 mile South Molton Struggle in aid of the North Devon Hospice. It has proven to be a very popular multi-terrain race running through the stunning countryside around South Molton.

Entry will be available on the day unless the race sells out - limit is 200 runners.

You will need to pick up your bib number on the day from race HQ.

You will need to pick up your bib number on the day from race HQ.

 Most of the run is through fields and along country tracks, there are a few stiles to hop over just to give you that extra challenge. Runners of all abilities over 18 years of age are welcome to take part. All finishers will receive a goody bag and awards will be given out in various categories. Refreshments, changing facilities, free car parking are all available at the race HQ.  

As last year the race will start at 11am at the Rugby club in South Molton.

TOWNHOUSE LANE IS NOT A PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY. PLEASE DO NOT RUN THIS SECTION OF THE ROUTE PRIOR TO OR AFTER RACEDAY. The section of private track runs from the road at the top of the hill next to the Norbord factory, past Townhouse Barton and down to the B3227 i.e. the South Molton to Umberleigh road. Thank you for your cooperation!

Children's Race

A Children's race for toddlers to 11 years will be held in the rugby field before the main race.  Children's entry forms available soon.  Please be present by 9:50am.

Struggle History

The first South Molton Struggle, organised by the South Molton Strugglers, was held in October 2009. Previously the Strugglers had organised the North Devon 10k event which started and finished in the town.
