North Devon Marathon & Half Marathon

The hottest day of the year is never the best time to run one of the toughest marathons in the country but thats just what Steve Abell and Clare Campbell did on Sunday 26th June! Steve completed the exceptionally challenging course is 4.03.06, coming 7th overall and 2nd in his age category - a fantastic result! Claire finished the marathon for the 2nd year running in 5.47.41! 

We mustn't forget those that took part in the half marathon in equally challenging conditions but half the distance of course! Our newest club member Dave Cutler finished in 3rd place in a time of 1.40.23, followed by one of the longest standing club members - Richard Westcott coming 1st in his age in a time of 2.07.32.

Nik Whalley found the heat very tough but managed a very respectable time of 2.14.37, Duncan Bailey in 2.17.41 and Jayne McKenzie Smith in 2.50.47.
