June 2011 - Olde English Fayre Childrens Run

The weather did nothing to stop over 60 children and parents taking part in the Olde English Fayre race night organised by the South Molton Strugglers.

With varying age categories from under 5 through to under 16 running distances between 50m to 1200m the event proved to be great success. One parent said 'We all had a great time at the fun run tonight,the weather was very kind to us. All the kids really enjoyed it, big thanks to the strugglers who organised a fab event'.

In addition to the standard running events, there were egg and spoon, sack race, three legged and of course the obligatory parents races - which proved to be very competitive. A huge thank you to the Mayor for presenting the prizes and all the children and parents for making the event the success that it was in what could have been very challenging weather conditions.
